Initial Surveys Going Out!

Hi Everyone!

We're just about ready to start sending out surveys, but the last piece of that process is what's called a smoke test. To do this, we send out surveys to about 5% of backers to make sure everything in Backerkit is working as it should and that we haven't broken anything. We'll be conducting this test over the next 24-48 hours. If everything goes well, you can expect the rest of the surveys to go out early next week at the latest.

While we do that, here are a couple of things to keep in mind:

• Spam Folder: Survey emails can occasionally find their way to your spam folder. Once we announce that all surveys have gone out, if you don't see anything come through from Backerkit check your spam folder first.
• Apple ID Email Addresses: If the email address tied to your Kickstarter account is a secure Apple ID address, the survey email may be blocked entirely. The email addresses look something like this:  "[email protected]".  Again, once all surveys go out, if you're not seeing the email from Backerkit, check to see if your email looks like one of these. If it does, we recommend that you first change that email in Kickstarter so you avoid any future issues. Once you have done that send us a message here or send an email to [email protected] to let us know what your updated email address is.

What an incredible journey! In just a few weeks and $45k raised, you've helped turn this campaign from a great idea into a smashing success! Thank you so much! 😁

NEXT STEPS

Now with the campaign done, here is what you can expect in the coming weeks and months.

• First, Kickstarter will process all of your payments. That will take approximately 15 days.
• Once the payments have been processed, we will send out surveys to the email addresses you have attached to your Kickstarter account.
• Answer your survey questions and grab any add-ons you want. We will keep orders open until we have the products and are ready to ship. During that time, you can make any desired changes to your order, address, email address, etc.
• When we have all the products and are ready to ship, we will send out another email, giving you a 48-hour window to finalize your orders before they are locked.
• Once your orders are locked, we will charge your cards for any additional items/shipping.
• After processing any further charges, we'll send out a second email with another 48-hour window to update your address if needed. Once that window closes, you will not be able to update your address yourself and will need to contact us directly to make those changes.
• With addresses locked, we will start packing and shipping. This final step will take some time. We appreciate your patience. ❤️

Please be aware that the times mentioned above are estimates. We try to stick to them as much as possible but sometimes it takes an extra day or two to move on to the next phase of the process.

HOW SHIPPING WORKS

We pack and ship orders by their contents, typically from the largest quantity and simplest of similar orders, down to the smallest and most complex. This means that we tend to ship a lot of orders very quickly at first before slowing down at the end because the remaining orders are more complicated.

For Example: Let's say we have 100 backers. 60 of them ordered 1 hardcover, 25 ordered a hardcover and a paperback, 10 ordered 2 hardcovers, and 5 ordered a hardcover, paperback, and a custom art piece. We're going to pack the orders for the group of 60 first, followed by the group of 25, and so on.

This project has been such a success it's been breathtaking! So happy everyone has been so excited for these beautiful pins, and can't wait to get them into your hands!!

$20k in well under a day, friends! WOAH! Thank you everyone so much for your support, and we're seriously looking forward to seeing how far this project goes now!

With that, our first Stretch Goal is knocked out, and we'll be upping the cardstock quality of our bookmarks from 28pt to 32pt! That a little over 14% increase in thickness, which genuinely ups the feel of the bookmarks in your hands, and makes the gold edges pop a lot more cleanly!

Onward, now to the next one! We KNOW you want that sticker pack as badly as we do! xD
